May Tablescapes

May is a beautiful Month! The beginning of the month is filled with soft colors and fragrant flowers! And the month ends with a red, white and true blue holiday! Perfect for creating tablescapes.

It is the best time to dine al fresco, enjoying the warming sun and the lingering daylight.

Here are some of my favorite outdoor tablescape over the last two years of May inspiration...

The lilacs bloom every May at StoneGable. They almost beg me to set a table in their honor!

This table was set on my front porch. It included bridal veil flowers and my very own bridal veil used as a tablecloth!

Another lilac tablescape... tea sandwiches and lilacs are made for each other!

Oh, so pretty peonies... and lace!

Tea anyone?

A salute to the Red, White And Blue!

The lilacs are blooming again and begging for another tablescape!!!!

  9. Every one of these settings is a knockout! I would so love to have some lilacs in my yard. I planted two a few years ago, but I fort to water them and they died. I am thinking of trying again, especially when I see them in photos like these.

  13. All of your tables are so beautiful! I really love the arrangement of Lilacs in the silver coffee pot. Stunning! I brought a Peony bush back from my mothers this Spring, but it only has one lonely little bud on it. Hopefully next year it will have a few more that will make for a beautiful arrangement!

  20. Gorgeous, Yvonne! I love the first tablescape. I might have to see if I can fit a lilac bush in somewhere. I'm already planning on a few hydrangeas. I think a neighbor may have a lilac bush that is blooming now; I need to get a closer look, though, to be sure and, if it is, I'm going to ask her if I can cut a few {or ten} blooms.

  38. Each one is simply beautiful and stands on its own. I am especailly loving the first one with the purple lilacs because I am currently trying SO hard to convince a client that they do NOT want to use a lavender/lilac tablecloth, but rather go with pure white accented with touches of the color. I was doing just fine with the convincing until an outsider (the client's sister) stepped in an decided to lend "her expertise" to the subject. Now I am fighting tooth and nail to not use a solid lavender linen overlay on what could be an otherwise beautifully-appointed Tuscan-style table!!! OK...enough ranting on my part. Every table is gorgeous. Applause, applause! Have a great weekend!

  42. Lilacs and peonies have me singing in May too! And of course, wedding celebrations. Such a beautiful month when it isn't too hot yet. All of your tables are gorgeous and it is fun to see a reprise. I think that is one of my least favorite things about blogging is how quickly it all just disappears into the archives!! Have a glorious May weekend.
